    Honours research testing whether modern sequence architectures actually beat transformers on financial forecasting, rather than assuming either way. Mamba and its relatives against transformer baselines across eight datasets, with an 87.5% win rate. For anyone reaching for a transformer because it's what everyone reaches for.
